Location and Geofencing
Location section in Setting menu:
- Sites: This section likely contains information about individual locations or facilities managed within the system. Each site may include details like address, status, and operational parameters.
- Site Pool: A collection or group of sites managed together under a common category. This feature is useful for organizations handling multiple locations within specific regions or operational clusters.
- Geofence: A virtual boundary set around a particular geographic area. This function helps in tracking movements, setting alerts, or enforcing security measures when an entity enters or exits a defined zone.
- Geofence List: Displays and manages all geofences within the system.
Purpose and Use Cases:
- ERP Systems: Managing locations and assets.
- Fleet Management: Monitoring vehicles within geofences.
- Security Systems: Defining restricted zones and tracking movements.
Location – Site: Lists individual locations or facilities with relevant details.
Site Master List:
- Displays a tabular format for managing site records.
- Columns include Site Name, Latitude/Longitude, Location, Entity Details, and Action.
- A search bar at the top allows users to filter sites by name.
- Pagination controls at the bottom suggest support for multiple entries.
Add Sites Details Form:
- A modal window allows users to add new site details.
- Fields include:
- Site Name: Name of the site to be added.
- Entity Type: Allows users to categorize the site as either a Branch or a
- Latitude/Longitude: Fields for entering the exact geographical coordinates of the site.
- Location Selection: Users can select a location, which auto-fills the address field.
- Address Fields: Includes specific address details such as:
- Country: Pre-filled as “India.”
- State & City: Dropdown fields for selecting the appropriate state and city.
- Street Address & Pincode: Users can enter the full address and postal code.
- Contact Information:
- Mobile Number & Email: Fields for entering contact details associated with the site.
- Action Buttons:
- Save: Confirms and adds the site entry.
- Cancel: Discards the entered details and closes the modal.
Location – Sitepool: A Site Pool is a collection or grouping of multiple site locations within a system. It allows users to manage, categorize, and organize different sites based.
SitePool Name: A text field where users can enter the name of the site pool.
Site Name: A search-enabled dropdown where users can select one or multiple sites to include in the pool.
NOTE : A site pool allows users to group multiple sites under a single category for easier management and organization.Useful for companies managing multiple locations and wanting to categorize them by region, function, or operational needs.
Location – Geofence : A Geofence Location is a virtual perimeter or boundary set around a specific geographic area using GPS, Wi-Fi, RFID, or cellular data. When a person, device, or asset enters or exits this predefined area, automated actions such as alerts, notifications, or security protocols can be triggered.
How Geofence Location is Helpful:
- Enhanced Security & Access Control:
- Restricts access to specific areas and sends alerts when unauthorized entry occurs.
- Useful for securing restricted zones in offices, warehouses, and factories.
- Employee & Attendance Tracking:
- Automates check-ins and check-outs when employees enter or leave the workplace.

Location – Geofence List : A Geofence List is a collection of predefined geographic boundaries (geofences) that help monitor and manage locations efficiently. Each geofence in the list represents a virtual perimeter around a specific area, allowing automated actions when a user or asset enters or exits these zones.
How Geofence List is Helpful:
